The European Commission opened the feedback window on a draft Delegated Regulation establishing classes of performance in relation to the resistance to fire, which supplements the Construction Products Regulation (CPR).

After formal adoption and signature by the Council and Parliament, the Machinery Regulation legal text has been published in the Official Journal of the EU dated 29 June 2023.

The European Parliament formally approved the Machinery Regulation in its plenary sitting of 18 April, with 595 votes in favour, 7 votes against, and 30 abstentions. The Competitiveness Council endorsed the final text on 22 May.

The United Kingdom Government will continue to recognise the CE product marking in Great Britain for a further 2 years, allowing business to use either UKCA or CE markings.

The EU agency CINEA has commissioned Ricardo to collect evidence on EU-funded energy efficiency related market surveillance projects to assess their impacts and effectiveness. The resulting report was published in July 2022.
