Trade and Competitiveness

Basic information

The global economy is changing. The return of geopolitics in a multipolar world, the erosion of multilateral trade relations, and a once-in-a-century pandemic have caused deep and lasting disruptions in our industry. At the same time, Europe has set itself the target of becoming the first climate-neutral continent by 2050 and is pioneering sustainability standards unmatched elsewhere in the world. In this context, it is one of our priorities to ensure that European manufacturers can keep competing on global markets and remain leaders in the technologies that will power the future.
