Digitisation and Connectivity

Basic information

Digital innovations in the fields of artificial intelligence, cloud computing, big data, digital twinning, robotics, AR/MR/VR and latest-generation sensors are opening new possibilities for the HVACR industry. But they also bring along new challenges, regarding cybersecurity, privacy, data sovereignty, safety and compliance. Europe will need to develop and promote the framework conditions, infrastructure, standards, and digital skills that will enable companies in and around the HVACR sector – including SMEs – to create new business models and use cases, and leverage the power of digital technologies for safer, more efficient and more convenient processes and products.
