GEN – 1098.00. In response to the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), Eurovent Associate Member REHVA has developed a guidance document and collected a bibliography, complemented by a dedicated website to guide the industry in relation to the virus outbreak.

Background: About REHVA

REHVA is the Federation of European Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Associations, representing a network of more than 100.000 engineers from over 25 countries. Since 1963, the association is dedicated to the improvement of health, comfort and energy efficiency in all buildings and communities by facilitating knowledge exchange, supporting the development of related EU policies, and their national level implementation.

In spring 2015, REHVA and Eurovent decided to strengthen their relationship by signing a mutual Associate Membership agreement to reconfirm their long-standing cooperation.

REHVA COVID-19 Guidance

REHVA experts have drafted a guidance document and related bibliography on how to operate and use building services in areas with coronavirus outbreak to prevent the spread of the virus depending on HVAC or plumbing systems related factors.

In addition, the association has set up a dedicated COVID-19 guidance website to update the related documents, and share information and updates as new knowledge and evidence become available.

Eurovent thanks REHVA experts and all co-authors for this initiative.

Recommended Actions

Due to the ever-changing information about the virus, Eurovent members are recommended to closely look at the guidance documents provided by REHVA and regularly monitor the dedicated website.

REHVA invites everyone to share the information within their network or contribute with updates as indicated in the document.
