GEN – 730.00. The INTAS aims to support Market Surveillance Authorities (MSAs) to deliver compliance for large products; large industrial fans (10 kW to 500 kW) and transformers and to provide industry tools to show is complying with Ecodesign legislation.
The 1st Half-yearly progress summary March – September 2016 of the INTAS study has become available. The translation of the project description in many languages such as Italian, Polish, Dutch etc. two elements are worthy of note:

2. A database of EN/IEC/ISO technical standards on large fans (10 kW to 500 kW)
http://www.intas-testing.eu/storage/app/media/INTAS_D2.1_Final_Annex_B.pdf
This report is interesting because it gives a good overview of standards for fans around the world.
For Europe, there are also a reference to building codes under the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive.
There is a single reference to manufacturers’ certified data defined by AMCA 205.
Recommended Action
Manufacturers of fans and cooling towers are strongly recommended to register on the project website http://www.intas-testing.eu/about-project/team-and-contacts
The secretariats of relevant Product Groups are asked to keep an eye on the developments within this INTAS-project. A careful analysis of the documents produced may prove useful. It is possible that some of the information contained in the reports may need to be commented or completed.
