This document provides recommendations on minimum functional requirements for control systems of Air Handling Units and clarifies the importance of controls in regard to energy consumption, safety, commissioning and maintenance aspects. It also explains the advantages of factory-supplied optimised systems and describes the legislative and normative framework of Air Handling Unit controls.
